Umbundu Language


Umbundu, or South Mbundu, is a Bantu language is one of the most widely spoken languages in Angola. Their speakers are known as Ovimbundu, who constitute a third of the Angolan population.

Their homeland is in the Angolan central highlands and the coastal region that lies west of these highlands, including major cities such as Benguela and Lobito.
